Vibes on full!

James Archibald was born in Bradford and spent his early years in Chile, an experience that likely sparked his passion for Latin music. He has been studying, playing, and performing the guitar for over 25 years, specialising in classical and flamenco styles.

In addition to his solo work, James performs using live looping, covering a wide range of classic songs, original compositions, and world music, all delivered with a distinctive blues-infused Latin sound.

Throughout his career, James has remained dedicated to developing his craft. He has studied with a variety of private tutors, travelled to Spain to train at the renowned Carmen de las Cuevas flamenco school in Granada, and attended numerous masterclasses. These include sessions with acclaimed guitarists such as Paco Peña, Juan Martín, José del Tomate, José Almarcha, John Walsh, Glenn Sharp, and Nick Wilkinson.

James has performed extensively at wedding ceremonies and receptions, corporate events, festivals, charity functions, as well as in cafés, pubs, and as a street performer. He has also accompanied flamenco dancers on many occasions, adding authenticity and energy to live performances.

Career highlights include One Night in Andalucía at Seven Arts, where he performed alongside internationally renowned Indian musicians Koyel Bhattacharya and Kuntal Das, as well as appearances at Chroma-Q Theatre, The Queens Hotel Leeds, Saltaire Festival, Washburn Heritage Centre, Fountains Abbey, and East Riddlesden Hall.
